How often are lessons?
- My students have weekly individual lessons during term time
- They also come together for group lessons 6 times a term
What sort of commitment is necessary?
- A lot! Suzuki method is a family commitment that usually lasts for around 15 years
- Parents must attend all lessons and take notes of what to practice and how to achieve it
- Parents must be the home teacher and practice with their child daily.
- Parents must ensure that daily listening to the Suzuki recordings takes place
What are the costs?
- Individual lessons. Please ask for details. Lessons start at 30 minutes
- Group lessons. Please ask for details
- Membership of the London Suzuki Group at about £100 per year
- Instrument purchase or hire.

What are the benefits?
- Friendships, those involved in Suzuki Method are very much in a community
- Life skills such as advanced listening, fine motor movements, memory, communication, stick-to-it-iveness, facing challenges head on.
- Opportunities such as performing in prestigious concert halls, summer camps, hearing wonderful performers, orchestras, chamber music
- A life with a love of music! Having the skill of playing the violin will help get through some of life's difficulties, it is an emotional outlet.
Who is Suitable?
- "Every child can...." We never test for musical ability as we are teaching in the same way that children learned to speak.
